The Sicily tour will show you the most enchanting and interesting sites of this island, the largest of the Italian regions. You will admire the highlights of Palermo, like the wonderful Duomo of Monreale; the charming territory of the salt pan; the major archaeological sites, incredibly well preserved since the time of the Greek civilization, like the temple valley in Agrigento; the breathtaking views on the Mediterranean from the most fashionable of all the Sicilian towns, Taormina; the biggest active volcano in Europe: Mt. Etna; and much more.

Of course you will have the chance to try the excellent local food, tasting the various dishes of the Sicilian culinary tradition, as the world famous 'cannoli', or the wide variety of almond cakes and cookies, besides the best lemmon 'granite' realized by the use of the special lemons which are grown only in this land.

Not least you will savour the taste of this incredibly varied land where the numerous traditions from various civilizations, converged here during the centuries, have reached a wonderful harmony and have added a special meaning to the natural beauties. DAY 1: Palermo


Morning arrival and transfer from the airport to your 4 star hotel. Meet your local guide and visit the highlights of Palermo: the wonderful Duomo of Monreale, the Palatine Chapel and the Royal Palace, some of the city elegant palaces and theatres, its ancient port and its most colorful food market: la Vucciria.


DAY 2: Palermo - Marsala - Selinunte - Agrigento


After breakfast board your van and reach Marsala, capital of the most famous liquorous wine in Italy. Driving through the enchaunting territory of the salt pan, you will enjoy some of the most beautiful landscapes on this island. Stop and visit the archaeological site of Selinunte, the widest in the whole Mediterranean. Wine tasting and lunch will be featuring the typical produce of this area. Tonight stay at a 4 star hotel by the beach of Agrigento.


DAY 3: Agrigento


The morning will be dedicated to the visit of the marvellous archaeological site. A local guide will show you some of the best preserved temples of the Greek civilization. As Agrigento is famous also for its production of almonds, it is considered a must to try some of its typical cakes at one of the excellent local 'pasticcerie'. Optional sightseeing of the Temple Valley by night, followed by a superb performance carried out by professional actors, right in front of the natural scenery of the Temples.


DAY 4: Agrigento - Piazza Armerina - Taormina


Leave Agrigento to head for the north-west coast. Stop on route to visit the Roman Villa Del Casale, near Piazza Armerina. A place renown for the unique mosaic works so well preserved in their incredible colors and patterns. Lunch will be in a local farm house, so you will try the cheese, the appetizer, the hand made pasta and the varied dishes of the local gastronomic tradition. In the afternoon reach the enchanting hilly town of Taormina.


DAY 5: Taormina - Etna - Acireale


Visit the Greek theatre overlooking the blue Mediterranean Sea, the medieval Palazzo Corvara, the picturesque terraces, and colorful lanes lined with beautiful boutiques and artesan’s shops producing some wonderful ceramics. After lunch, drive up to reach the biggest active volcano in Europe: the Etna. Optional visit, with a professional guide, of the highest mouths of the volcano. This is also an area of production of the pistacchio 'dop' (best quality) and many are the little shops to explore.… Before driving back to Taormina, stop for a 'greedy visit' in Acireale to try some of the best 'granita' produced in Sicily!


DAY 6: Taormina - Siracusa


The daily excursion will take you southward, to visit the city of Siracusa. Here the local guide will show you its incredible archaeological site boasting one of the most beautiful Greek theatres survived from the classical era. You will also admire the baroque style that characterizes the isle of Ortigia, ancient nucleus of the city. After lunch, drive back to Taormina. Rest of the day at leisure.


DAY 7: Taormina - Milazzo - Lipari - Cefalù


Early departure today to reach, by hydrofoil from the harbour of Milazzo, the island of Lipari, a true jewel in the Eolie archipelago. Whole day dedicated to relax and to individual activities. Board the boat back to Milazzo and reach Cefalù, driving along the impressive northern coast of Sicily.


DAY 8: Cefalù - Palermo


After visiting the majestic Cathedral of Cefalù and the medieval heart of this cute little fishermen village, board the van to Palermo. Transfer to the airport. End of the tour.
