Meet your Venice guide in front of the most famous hotel in Venice: the Danieli. Start the guided walking tour from the Bridge of Sighs and the Doge's Palace.
You will learn about the numerous roles played in society by the Doge and his counsellors, who helped creat the many institutions that made Venice the most modern and liberal State in Europe. The visit will also feature the sumptuous chambers decorated with the precious works of art by Titian, Tintoretto, and Veronese, just to mention the biggest names.
Then you will enter the stunning Basilica of St. Mark: a 10th century gothic masterpiece which combines the Western and the Byzantine styles, in an incredible elegant harmony.
The guided tour will then proceed through the bridges and "calli", the narrow lanes which lead to Rialto Bridge. Visit to one of the few workshops where the artist will show you how she makes the reknown venetian "masks"! (Optionally, You can ask to watch how they blow glass.)
