In the morning the drive to the abbey of Monte Oliveto will capture your eye, as it will be across the fascinating land of the Crete Senesi. This ancient abbey in fact rises among some of the most impressive mounts, whose furrows moulded by erosion give them a papier-machè aspect. The monastery and church preserve some precious paintings and fresco cycles which are really worth a visit!

Proceeding the drive southward stop and visit the cute hilly town of Montepulciano, famous for the production of one of the best Italian wines: the Vino Nobile. With your driver-guide you will visit a private castle and its wine cellars. It will also be possible to buy the products on the premises. A lunch stop becomes a must here, as the food is among the freshest and tastiest in south Tuscany! In the afternoon head back to the north to get to Siena.

Beautiful medieval art city, Siena will bewitch you with its display of palaces, churches, squares and brick houses. Your driver-guide will show you around, focusing your attention on the majestic Cathedral, true jewel of the Gothic Romanesque; the city main square Piazza Il Campo, where the famous horse race Il Palio is run twice a year; the seat of the oldest European bank; the gothic palaces of the local aristocracy; the gothic church of San Domenico where the relics of Saint Catherine are hosted; the house where the Patron Saint of Italy, Catherine, was born in 1348; one of the oldest hospitals in Europe, now seat of a very important city museum; some workshops where the last artisans make their precious crafts; and numerous other corners and hidden passages which will reveal to you the "secret face" of a true lady of the middle ages among the Italian cities. By late afternoon your driver-guide will take you back to your hotel.
