Your private driver guide and the city guide of Naples will greet you at the dock of Naples. The tour will start from the nearby town of Pompei, of which you will visit the archaeological site. Buried under lava in 79 AD, this ancient Roman colony will impress you with its aspect of a frozen city survived in its everyday life style after centuries. You will see some of the elegant patrician villas, gyms, baths with their gorgeous mosaics and all that a present day city can offer. Drive back to Naples and stop for lunch in a renowned trattoria, where the "pizza Margherita" was born!

The tour will continue with the visit of Naples highlights: from the Castel dell'Ovo, to the Opera theatre San Carlo, from the promenade by Mergellina to the elegant via Caracciolo, you will visit some of the most interesting churches and part of the underground city, to end up in the main square: Piazza del Plebiscito, where an espresso coffee with the Neapolitan sfogliatella are not to be missed!

By mid afternoon (boarding time) your driver guide will take you back to the ship.
