Fiesole and Cooking Lesson

Atop the hill overlooking the plain where Florence lies, the cute village of Fiesole, dotted with aristocratic villas and parks, boasts origins even older than those of nearby Florence. The short walk through its streets and main square will offer views over the Roman theatre and the Etruscan musum, witnesses of a glorious past.

Present day Fiesole is actually a charming village where one can buy precious manufacts from some of the only surviving local artisans (wrought iron, pottery and furniture). Located on one of the village slopes stands the beautiful villa of a reknown florentine chef. He will open up his private kitchen and sitting room just for your cooking class!

The course will start by 10:00 am and will include the presentation and tasting of some of the best local wines. It is a unique experience, not only because it will be a "private" cooking class, but also for the family atmosphere that will enliven your desire to take part to the active preparation of the single dishes. The menu will feature some of the typical recipes of the Tuscan cuisine.

Lunch will follow at the Villa. It will be the chef's pleasure to present you a gift: a cooking book written by him. In the early afternoon your driver guide will take you back to your hotel in Florence.
