What if we told you that with the right timing you could see almost all of postcard Rome...and still have time for a nice lunch? Well, you can.

On this tour you'll get to stand under the huge vault of the Pantheon, throw coins into the Trevi fountain, walk down the same steps that Audrey Hepburn and Gregory Peck come down in "Roman Holiday". And of course you'll have goosebumps staring up at the Sistine Chapel ceiling and the remains of the Roman Forum will remain etched forever in your mind's eye.

Your driver-guide will be waiting for you at your ship docked at Civitavecchia.

An 80-minute drive will bring you into the heart of Rome, where you will start at the Colosseum, Forum, Circus Maximus and Palatine Hill for a look at the ancient city.

From there, it's off to the Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Campo di Fiori, Spanish Steps and other famous sights that you remember from the movies. You'll be ready for a quick but authentic lunch at a local trattoria, so that's exactly what we'll do.

The afternoon is an unforgettable visit to Vatican City -- St. Peter's Basilica, highlights of the Vatican museums, and the recently restored Sistine Chapel. The tour finishes with a drive up to the Janiculum hill for the most dramatic view of the city from above (and maybe a final gelato!).
