Head northward from Florence with your driver-guide, along the "autostrada dei Fiori" (motorway of the flowers). In the westermost area of the Ligurian riviera, a strip of land stretching between the Alps and the Mediterranean Sea, are set these little villages which cling to hill slopes and hide in picturesque inlets. Here can be found proof of human presence dating back to thousand of years ago, the so called Menhir, big stones driven into the ground.

In this wonderful area are situated terraces overgrown with olive groves (the ligurian olive oil ranks among the best produced in Italy), vineyards, citrus orchards, and green forests. A breathtaking scenery of colours in a Nature declared today Regional Nature Park.

According to your preferences, you will either take a boat trip which will leave you time in each of the 5 villages for private shopping and exploration, or decide to use the combination train-walking path, enjoying so the lovely view over the ocean from the cliffs above, walking along the "Love way".

In one of the villages, it will be the right choice for your lunch to try the original recipe of "pesto" with trofie, a special kind of local hand made pasta. Your driver-guide will take you back to your hotel by late afternoon.
